R U OK? Day

R U OK Day is our national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that any day is the day to ask, “Are you OK?” and support those struggling with life. This year’s message is ‘There’s more to say after R U OK?’

At Omada Rail Systems, we value our team immensely. Good mental health is massively important at work, making team members more productive and effective in their roles. So what can you do to make sure that your mates at work are feeling ok?

A place where asking the question “Are you ok?” can really work is in the workplace. As employers or staff, we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this simple yet important question. Besides our legal responsibility of providing a safe and healthy workplace, these conversations can make a real difference to staff going through a tough time.

At work, you’re seeing the same people for long periods, within the same context. This means you’re likely to notice the changes, no matter how small, that could indicate someone is going through a tough time. When you notice these changes make time to ask R U OK? and have a conversation that could change a life.

R U OK? has developed our four conversation steps to give you the skills and confidence to navigate a conversation with someone you’re worried about.
