NCL Capacity Improvement Project

2018 – 2019

The North Coast Line (NCL) is the primary corridor for intermodal rail freight between Brisbane and Cairns.

The key objectives of improving the line are to support the State Government’s goal of improving the competitiveness of rail freight on the NCL. Stimulating additional economic and job growth in the local community through construction of infrastructure that supports an improvement in rail freight capacity, whilst maintaining safety. This facilitates a reduction in above rail operating costs and allows for future growth.

As a part of this projects, Omada have been contracted to manage and coordinate with both QR internally and external contractors to deliver a safe and quality signalling design.
