Lifecycle Classic Presented by Shine Lawyers

The Lifecycle Classic Presented by Shine Lawyers was a resounding success.

The Lifecycle Classic is a challenging 71 km long handicap race, where competitors complete two laps of a 35.5 km circuit in Lowood, QLD. Having taken place on Sunday the 29th of August with more than 250 competitors and 1000 viewers of the live stream, this year’s event was very well received.

The Para race, which was only one lap of the circuit, ended with Caroline Baird taking the win in a time of 1 hr 1 minute 51 seconds, with an average speed of 34.44 km/h. She and her pilot were followed by second place finisher Richard Attwater, 5 minutes 17 seconds back. Also shown in the start line pictures, Jordan Carroll, who unfortunately, due to the delays could not start the race as he had other commitments in the afternoon.

As the main sponsor of the Lifecycle Para Team, Omada Rail Systems showed a strong presence at the event. Setting up with our brand new gazebos and flags, we provided a sheltered space for our paras to wait for their start during some delays. We also had a TV running with the Paralympics (pre-race) and then the event live stream going through the race for spectators and volunteers to watch. As well as this our gazebos housed the Mates on Bikes (MOB) cycling team, giving them a place to keep their bags and bikes.

We would also like to use this post as an opportunity to say a massive thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who made this event possible. Without their planning, dedication and effort, the event would surely not have been so successful.
